Day 8 (11/1) Brighter roads ahead, with a little help from a friend. onwards towards the city that never sleeps.

when your bigass pancake finally arrives.

This is how our morning started, with many, many phone calls and Google searches.

After solidifying a plan for the day we headed to breakfast and saw this tiny statue of liberty, and wished to ourselves that it was the real deal.🗽

We went to the big apple pancake house and got their signature dish, the big Apple pancake. It was sooo delicious, and definitely worth the wait.

After the big apple, we walked to a few car rental places and found ourselves a ride for the day while we wait to hear back from the auto mechanic about the status of sweetpea.

While we waited for her diagnosis we decided to get our laundry done, which had been piling up since the start of the trip. As we were wrapping up, we got the call we had been waiting for. Our van had been fixed, in one day, by a super kind, and hard working mechanic.

We celebrated and got some food to-go at Al's steakhouse.

Scott from Rockdale automotive had stayed 2 hours past closing to fix our van even though he was completely booked out. Jeff who towed us, knew Scott personally and put in a super kind word for us. Scott hooked us up big time. We are beyond greatful for Scott and his fatherly generosity. We couldn't have gotten back on the road without him. Thanks Scott and Jeff!

Super happy to have sweetpea back for our last night at the red roof Inn.

We did errands! Woohoo!
