Day 5 (10/29) long haulin across Wyoming

Started the morning off in a motel room, so we got to water the plant really easily!

Stopped at a sweet little breakfast place, got coffee and gibs got to catch up on some work.

Meanwhile des packed up some fossils to send home.

Putting Miles under the pea.

Desi's turn for trucking while gibby gets some school work done.

We stopped and got Mexican for lunch.

Gibby happy to see the wind power in action.

We stopped at a super cute campground at this lake and made some simple soup for dinner. It was a long day, that started late, so we were very greatful for the quite place to sleep after so much driving.

More about our floor!

The floor was dirty and hadn't seen the light of day for years, so we scrubbed it clean.
Then we put in 2x2 along the lowest part of the floor to build off of.
We also purchased and installed a used 'batwing' that folds out from the roof rack, for rain and shade protection.
Mineral wool insulation and some stranded copper wiring.
1/2 inch plywood cut to size.
Self leveling putty. And adhesive before!

The vinyl flooring (scorched walnut). This was a roll style so we cut it to fit the plywood.

Day 4 (10/28) A step millions of years in the past

The route for today wasn't very long, because we stopped at a fossil quarry!
Our view waking up was big sky's, and long trains.

We started off the day going the wrong way towards the quarry, and ran into two kindhearted locals that showed us the right way to go.

Fossil hunting was the priority for the day, so we took lunch in the quarry.

Sweetpea in all her glory.

We ended up finding a bunch of fossils! It was totally a childhood dream come true. We excitedly packed them away before getting a good picture of the haul, but trust me, it's awesome.

The quarry was just a bit north of the tiny town, kemmerer.

Entering Green River, Wyoming.

Ended the night in a motel with a beautiful view of sunset.

Gotta love some rice and beans.
